I’m Stronger and Leaner!

Where do I even begin?

I have always loved going to the gym since I was 18 years old. I went for many years while I was living in Massachusetts. I moved to the Capital Region in 1989 and then everything fell apart. I lost my momentum. Two kids, divorce, deaths in the family etc. Needless to say I got heavy. I maxed out at 180 lbs and I was not happy with myself mentally and physically.

Then a friend told me about Best Fitness was opening a gym on Central Avenue. I joined practically the moment the doors opened and have been a member since. I started out slowly working on my own then I met Tom Sokol and have been training with him weekly since March 2016. I have grown stronger and leaner over the months. Tom tests me all the time and provides encouragement. He always makes sure I am doing the exercises correctly so I do not hurt myself. He pushes me to levels to which I have never known before and I am always surprised at myself that I have been able to do these challenges. My core strength is at the best it is has ever been. I look forward to my weekly training. Tom is truly THE BEST.

I also am faithful to Zumba, Body Pump, Body Combat, BFITT and CXW classes. I average 45 workouts monthly. I am a gym rat and will continue as long as I can. I am 55 years old and proud of my accomplishments to keep a lean, healthy and strong body.
