Dillon's Fitness Story

When did you start with Best Fitness? How did you come to work in this position?
I began working for Best Fitness in 2015 as a Fitness Professional. After 4 and a half years of training I took on the role of Fitness Director to continue to grow the personal training in Albany.

What is your mission statement?
TBA: Trust. Belief. Accountability.

Trust the process, because that’s exactly what it is.. a process. 
Believe in yourself
and last but not least be ACCOUNTABLE.

What kind of experience do you have? What is your athletic/training background?
I was a 3-sport athlete all through high school before going on the play Quarterback at Bridgewater State University. Off the field I studied Physical Education and Health.

What are 3 general tips that you would recommend to those trying to stay in/get in shape?
1. I always say “nothing fancy, just effective”.. Keep it simple. The basics/fundamentals work.

2. Move WELL and Move OFTEN. There are a lot of different ways to get started. But ya gotta start somewhere.

3. Sleep and recovery are just as important as exercise! A balanced lifestyle is key.

What is your advice to someone that wants to try personal training? Is there a training program for them at Best Fitness?
There is a training program for everyone at Best Fitness. I would encourage everyone to seek out a trainer. To have a resource there whose sole job is to organize, evaluate and progress your health and wellness routine is invaluable. We all have ONE body, we should know it and know it well. That’s what we are here to help you do!

What do you like to do when you aren’t training?
I am an athlete all the way through. If I’m not training or playing sports I’m most likely watching them or debating about them in some way or another.

I’m also a major foodie so if you see me outside the gym I’m likely out walking my dog trying to find the best slice of pizza in town.. We all have our guilty pleasures.
